The good news for bird lovers is that the endangered American bald eagles are making a comeback. The whole proceedings of the eagle nesting and laying of eggs and then hatching have been captured live.
A live webcam has been placed nearby to make sure that everything that the eagles do along three of the city’s major rivers in Allegheny County is captured. The return of the iconic birds has not only made bird watchers excited but also biologists. The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania feels that everybody in the community in Allegheny County is feeling proud of the moment. Jim Bonner, the society’s executive director, said: “People who are not even birders are thrilled. It’s awe-inspiring to see this magnificent creature return. The American bald eagle is in our psyche—we’ve heard about it since childhood. Everyone can identify.” The reason behind such a hoopla behind the comeback of this bird is that it America’s national bird.
